Vote or Lose it All

The consequences of losing your county government to anti-government maga people is that, one: they don’t like or want unions in government jobs; they want to control all of the county jobs, such as the elections department, so they can get their hands on your ballots. They want to control the county school boards and the county school superintendent’s office and dedicate what is taught. They also want to control of the Shasta County District Attorney’s office and the Health Department. How can this be done? One way is just by buying the County supervisors with lots of money from outside our county. In Shasta County’s case, it was and is out of state money, which supported a recall of three supervisors, which were all Republicans members, but were not maga trump people. Two of these supervisors were not recalled, but have vowed not to run again and one was recalled, giving the maga supervisors a majority vote of three to two vote to fire the County’s Health Officer, and they will not quit with that win. They want to destroy Shasta County’s government. Our Five Counties Council unions fought this with people and money in supporting the supervisors who were being recalled, but lost because there wasn’t enough money to counter the unlimited money coming in from outside the County. This is a hard thing for union labor people to use their money to try to defend Republicans, but the alternative left the Five Counties Council no choice, unfortunately we lost, but all county workers’ union benefits are in danger as a result of this loss. I wonder how many of these workers realize that or voted against their own self-interest? All of this is occurring in our Northern California County right now and I am sure the same thing is happening in other small counties across the USA. So, the real fight is who will control the ballot boxes and voting machines for those who do will win through corruption. So, unions members and all working people must get out and vote to stop this from happening. The anti-worker GOP maga led assault is on the working-class people, not just to control the government. If they, the gop maga people, are counting the votes, we lose. Vet the candidates you want to vote for. Several are saying they’re sponsored by the Liberty committee, that is a tell that they are with the maga-gop group. One Cottonwood candidate, who is running as a Liberty candidate, says in one of his television advertisements that he will not raises our taxes. He’s either ignorant or is hoping you are.

Labor’s war is a David vs Goliath fight, but sometimes Goliath wins the battle but ultimately David will win the war, and here is one way it can be done in rural areas. Small towns that sit 40 to 50 miles away from larger cities have power for the low-wage workers have power for the low wage workers have nothing to lose for they have nothing, so they can and should use that nothing, which is a power, for better working conditions, such as good wages, regular working hours, healthcare—maybe even childcare. Employees can withhold their labor or just move. Businesses don’t have that option. So, labor in small towns should stand together for a good minimum wage and benefits. Wages should be $26 per hour. Given the income corporations are raking in today, they can well afford to pay their employees better. Set Aside Grievances and Vote Blue

International Brotherhood of Teamsters are following the United Auto Workers in making history with the groundbreaking joint employer decision against Amazon. Now, the Longshoremen have gotten a groundbreaking contract, as well. This is very telling on what labor can do if they all pull together. These are some of the best deals in the last 30 years. However, all can be lost in the next election if our members vote for the wrong candidate. It is not hyperbole, but history, to say Republicans hate unions. This election, all must set aside some of the “piss me off” things and vote for the people who will stand up for unions and the working people, union or nonunion. The richest 1 percent have half of the worlds wealth while the rest of us only have 0.75 percent. Since 2020, this 1 percent have taken 63 percent of all the wealth.
