Class War Coming?

Are we about to enter into a class war? We are living in three different countries, but the same USA. All have sharply different lifestyles across the nation, and even worldwide. The most affluent have been seceding from the rest of the country into their own separate geographical communities with tax bases or fees that can underwrite much higher levels of services. The business class and ultra-wealthy have moved into office parks and gated communities and rely increasingly on private security guards instead of public law enforcement. They can afford private spas and clubs rather than using public parks and pools. Their children go to private schools or elite public schools within their upscale communities rather than attend city schools with working class children. Being rich now means having enough money that you don’t have to encounter or interact with anyone who isn’t in their social class. So, now the rich are totally out of touch with the poor, the minimum wage workers and the o...

Strong Labor Secretary Needed

Why doesn’t President Obama have a labor secretary like Frances Perkins in his Cabinet? Perkins was the first female Cabinet member under President Franklin Roosevelt, and there has never been a better labor secretary since. If the Obama administration does not start working for labor, then why will labor work for them, the Democrats, then why should labor spend its money on federal elections? At this time the trend seems to be spending and working on carpeting the state legislation and government offices. This is working well for the GOP, and the labor people are seeing the results, which is detrimental to union labor. By working the states it can be more grassroots, which can more easily show our dues paying members results in their towns where the jobs are and could result in more union jobs and dues paying members. With this success then it could be transferred to the federal level of government. Frances Perkins understood what the working wage slaves needed, which was federal lab...

Unionizing the Retail

The oligarchies are on the run. We need to keep the pressure on all fronts and it looks like with the election win for the wage slaves that there is an awakening and some of the tactics are of the old revised IWW tactics, which is power of the people, such as the Black Friday Walmart wage slave walkout and a big surprise of the 50,000 fast food workers in New York City. This could not only be an awakening, but the tipping point for organizing wage slaves in all retail jobs for a worker should be able to buy what they sell or be able to buy food they sell to others. If you don’t make enough money then you must depend on food stamps. We worker wage slaves are subsidizing the money people we work for by the low wages that we accept for our labor. We sell our lives one hour at a time for not even substitute wages just to make the 1% richer and richer. I think the tide is about to change and we all 99% must put aside all native thinking and support each other for 99% will beat the 1%. Jus...
